 My Rating:

On the outside, Dina Demille is the epitome of normal. She runs a quaint Victorian Bed and Breakfast in a small Texas town, owns a Shih Tzu named Beast, and is a perfect neighbor, whose biggest problem should be what to serve her guests for breakfast. But Dina is...different: Her broom is a deadly weapon; her Inn is magic and thinks for itself. Meant to be a lodging for otherworldly visitors, the only permanent guest is a retired Galactic aristocrat who can’t leave the grounds because she’s responsible for the deaths of millions and someone might shoot her on sight. Under the circumstances, "normal" is a bit of a stretch for Dina.

And now, something with wicked claws and deepwater teeth has begun to hunt at night....Feeling responsible for her neighbors, Dina decides to get involved. Before long, she has to juggle dealing with the annoyingly attractive, ex-military, new neighbor, Sean Evans—an alpha-strain werewolf—and the equally arresting cosmic vampire soldier, Arland, while trying to keep her inn and its guests safe. But the enemy she’s facing is unlike anything she’s ever encountered before. It’s smart, vicious, and lethal, and putting herself between this creature and her neighbors might just cost her everything.

This is my first book by Ilona Andrews and i must say i adore it!

I am not a fan of science fiction. The notion of aliens, far away galaxy's, planets etc does not trill me in the least.

Kick me into middle ages with elves, dwarfs and heroes and i'll feel right at home.
And Clean Sweep is a great combination of both. The originality of the story really drew me in.

Dina Demille is an "Innkeeper, owns a shi tzu her guest (for life) is a fugitive from another world her neighbor is a Werewolf (who pees on apple trees) and there's a sign of Vampire on the horizon. Oh and she has a broom and isn't afraid to use it!

The book is sublime , Dina is an excellent heroine i loved her calmness,  her valor and her no nonsense attitude when dealing with guys.

The boys where terribly yummy(beware of falling on first sight)and funny and a little crazy.

My favorite character had to be Caldenia (the fugitive) her dry humor had me chortle on many occasions. I'm excited to know more about her past.

THERE WAS NO ROMANCE, there where tender moments. There is no time for it when a bloodthirsty alien wants to eat you and the whole neighborhood.

And that had me sold, i hate, with a passion of thousand suns when in midst of and intense battle they also have time for all the love drama. (Come On!)

The ending was a little abrupt but the epilogue made all up for it, giving it some closure but also a grounding for the sequel.

I can hardly wait!

This book goes on the my "cant wait" shelf, next to Mercy Thompson and Dorina Basarab!

"I suggest you give up now. According to my research, in a vampire-werewolf love triangle, the vampire always gets the girl." -
How can you not love this book!
