Stacking The Shelves #1

30 March 2014

Stacking The Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It is all about sharing the books you are adding to your shelves, physical or virtual it doesn't matter. This means you can include books you buy in the physical store or online, books you borrow from friends or the library, review books, gifts and of course eBooks!

~FOR REVIEW~

17571242The Queen of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #1)

Unwrapped Sky by
Girl Defective by
The Queen Of The Tearling by
Macmillan-Tor/Forge for the awesome book about...wait for it...MINOTAURUS! Can you believe it. I'm really excited about it, hope it lives up to my expectations!
Also, a HUGE thank you to Atheneum Books for Young Readers  I was really crossing my fingers for Girl Defective, it called out to me and I cant say no when a book calls.

And last but not least thanks to Harper , its a dystopian fantasy I usually don't read that genre, but what the hell I'll give it a try!

Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1)1310408013188676

Shatter Me by Tahareh Mafi
Unravel Me by Tahareh Mafi
Ignite Me by Tahareh Mafi

I realize there has been a lot of hype about these books, but I don't really follow the trends so I skipped out on this. But by chance I stumbled across Tahereh Mafi's & Ransom Riggs Youtube Channel  and I really liked the witty way she talked so I'm hoping that's the way she writes.
I always find random ways to get interested in a book, I know, it's weird.

~BORROWED FROM A FRIEND~
(more like bullied into it)

15990969Rock Chick (Rock Chick, #1)

Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker
Rock Chick by Kristen Ashley

What happens when you let your friends talk you into things?
You end up with books you don't want to read but feel obligated because you love your friends and you want to participate in fangirling over the same books.
Friendship sometimes sucks! :P
I'm not really a fan of this genre, the whole bad boy/hot girl stereotype is not appealing in the least.
Especially in Kristen Ashley's case, everyone is been hounding me about reading her (supposedly she's amazing?) I'm not impressed so far.
And K.A Tucker is sorta kinda ok (more like awesome)

And that is my stacking the shelves, see you next week!

Tell me all about the books you added this week, maybe I can add some to my already overflowing TBR shelf ;)

  1. Ahh Kristen Ashley. Her writing drives me to drink. This might be something you'd like since you're aptly named, Whiskey. :) Anyway, she's very popular but her characters and writing takes a lot of getting used to…mostly I try not to twitch whenever I read them. Lol.

    Happy reading, Whiskey.

  3. all of the books you've gotten look good! I hope you are able to enjoy the books you were forced into reading. I haven't read either author so I can't give any insight myself, but I always prefer enjoying a book rather than not. Good luck! :)
