Feature & Follow #2

13 December 2013

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts Parajunkee of Parajunkee's View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it'll allow us to show off more new blogs! This is a great opportunity for blogers to meet new people and find awesome friends.

                                  QUESTION OF THE WEEK!

Bookselling Time: Go to your biggest bookcases. Go to the second shelf from the top and pick out the sixth book from the left. Hardsell that book to us – even if you haven’t read it or if you hated it. (if you don’t have bookcases, don’t have six books on one shelf, etc, pick a book at random)

My book choice: After Dark by Haruki Murakami

A short, sleek novel of encounters set in Tokyo during the witching hours between midnight and dawn.Where time moves in its own special way

Story centers around two girls, Eri, a model, modern day Sleeping Beauty and Mari her sister and student set out to spend the whole night in the city. Its a wonderful impressionistic picture of the night and the human psyche The plot flows easily and it's not difficult to follow at all.

If you never read anything by Murakami i suggest this as a first one.

You wont be disappointed!

  1. Hi,
I love Murakami's books. I've read South of the Border, West of the Sun and Kafka on the Shore and I completely fell in love with Murakami's writing. Great book choice!

  2. I've read this yeas and years ago and I maybe stupid but I didn't understand it. I think there's a lot of symbolism used in it, right?

Thanks for sharing and I just added you to GR.

    1. I don't think its a matter of smart or stupid. For some books you just have to have the right mindset. I've tried reading Bulgakov's "The Master and Margarita" three times and i still don't get it. I think when i get older somehow it will click.
      Thanks for vising
